Their journey of reentry began only a few months ago, yet they’ve already made a remarkable impact as a speaker, artist, and poet. Now, while navigating reentry themselves, M’Chal is giving back to children who were once in their shoes, speaking at local juvenile detention centers and advocating for reform.

Issac Lockhart is a figure of dignity, wisdom, and intelligence. Several years into his reentry, he has become a powerful advocate, helping those in prison harness their minds through writing and literacy, so they can connect with their children outside. While guiding others to overcome their challenges, Lockhart continues to rewrite his own story.
